Forniphilia on Second Life
Second Life is filled with different types of fetishes. Not surprising, considering it’s still people behind those screens. Sex in second life has an equal role to that in the real world. Second life has just about everything you can think of for sale when it comes to fetishes, and probably some you haven’t thought of yet. You’ll easily find those with leather teddies carrying a whip and you can even buy a coffin to have sex in, so it isn’t at all surprising that if there is a fetish, then there is a way to apply it in second life.
Forniphilia, like other ‘philias of its kind, is a very specific type of fetish. This one involves a person posing, mimicking, or becoming a normally inanimate piece of furniture; it will sometimes be referred to, as simply human furniture. Forniphilia is categorized as a bondage fetish because the person involved is objectified and generally restrained to help create the type of furniture desired. The person in question is generally part of a D/s or dominate and submissive relationship and willingly allows themselves to be bound or posed as things like a table, a lamp, or footstool. So, if you can do it in life, you can probably do it in Second Life.
Now, this fetish can work in Second Life a few ways. Forniphilia can be achieved by creative means, for instance a sculpture of an avatar posing as furniture can be classified as Forniphilia. However, you can also have another second life character involved in the act. By purchasing specific types of furniture, you can have the submissive of your choice pose in it. You can turn your partner into the pendulum of a grandfather clock, or the base of a glass top table. Most of these items will appear inconspicuous when not in use. Whatever your preference you won’t have much difficulty finding a way to make Forniphilia a part of your sexual exploration in Second life.
